Soon after Richard opened the doors to Herrmann Plumbing, his wife Yvonne and their children became a crucial part of the business. Richard often joked, “If you’re strong enough to pick up a shovel, you’re strong enough to work.”
That was simply the way things worked in the Herrmann household. As their children grew older, they naturally became more involved in the business — helping where they could and learning the value of hard work along the way.
It was during those early years that Herrmann Plumbing truly became a family business, built not only on craftsmanship and service, but on the shared effort of the entire Herrmann family.
Over time, Richard and Yvonne’s children — Kevin, Kim, and Kris — each stepped into larger roles within the company, helping it grow while continuing the family’s commitment to honest work and dependable service.
Today, Kevin, Kim, and Kris enjoy a well-earned retirement, though you may still see them around from time to time lending their experience and support to the team they helped build.
The Herrmann tradition continues with the next generation of the family.
Jason Herrmann, Kim’s son, now leads the company as Owner and President. Jason grew up around the business, often working summers alongside his grandfather Richard and learning the trade from the ground up before eventually joining the team full time in 1993.
Today, Jason proudly carries forward the values his grandparents built the company on — honesty, hard work, and quality workmanship.
For Jason, leading Herrmann Services is more than running a business — it’s continuing the legacy his grandparents started and honoring the work that built the company from the ground up.
That same pride in the family name continues to guide the way Herrmann Services serves its customers and community today.
The next generation is also stepping into the family tradition. Justin Herrmann, Kevin’s son, has joined the team as an apprentice plumber, continuing the hands-on tradition of learning the trade and serving the community that has supported the company for generations.
